When it comes to the way I do business it’s all about doing things different and taking chances because otherwise what’s the point. Honestly I find traditional business, and business people, to be boring as hell and stuck in an age where ugly suits and ties are the norm. Okay yeah, no thanks!

Well a little while back I wrote a story on my Social Mischief site about a disruptive marketing stunt that I put together for Xero.com. Saul Colt, the marketing ninja at Xero, teamed up with Social Mischief and my buddy Max Major. Have a look at what we did to get a better idea of what’s possible when you think outside the box and take chances.

So yeah we crashed a competitor’s conference and left one hell of an impression! The really cool part is that I took two of my passions, magic and marketing, and combined them for an entertaining stunt. Try taking things that you’re passionate about and combining them in some way. When you lead with your heart and focus on the things that you really love then your best work will naturally come out. If you’re not sure what you want to do makes sense feel free to post a comment below to start a group discussion or drop me an email at luke@lukedancy.com.

The other awesome thing about this event? Saul Colt and Max Major are two of the most driven and hard working people that I know so to team up and work together was like a true dream team. I’m looking forward to more adventures with these guys and trust me you’ll be the first to hear about them!
